HR156 vs HR155 Employee Group Update

Started By  Kelly H
We currently run the HR156 each week to update all of our employee groups.  however today after an issue we had with the HR156 I noticed the HR155 has an option to run it for a specific employee group (which is what we normally do when we make a specific change to an employee group and need it to update ASAP) or for only those employee groups that need to be updated.  How often are you running either of these jobs  Do you have any knowledge of the purpose of each of the jobs

Is there a way?

Started By  Greg Moeller
Is there a way  We're looking to link straight to a specific employee's PA16 record.  The person will change, but is something like this possible  Is there is a way to link directly to PA16 of a certain user, so I can link directly from ProcessTracker for security admins I'm sure it would have them log in first but then take them directly to it so they can update company property   Is something like this available to go directly to PA16 to a certain employee https://lawsons...

Nbr Months Worked

Started By  TBonney
Does anyone know if the number of months worked is stored anywhere in Lawons. Or, is it necessary to calculate based on other availabe data elements We are tryiong to build a file for a vendor for employement verifications and one of the fields is months worked. Thebest suggestion we cmae up with was number of cycles on their seniority hours bucket on LP64, divided by 26, multipled by 12. However, the problem with that is that not all employees actually have a seniority hours bucket on whi...

BSI TaxFactory upgrade from 10 to 11 on AIX

Started By  Brett
I have downloaded the bulletin for AIX 7.x 64 bit and Oracle 12 64-bit, copied over the server directory, edited lawson.env to reflect the few changes, including the new database, secured and applied a new license, ran cmpftxora11 and cmprts to relink cobol and oracle, and restarted the application successfully. Running tf11lic -v shows current, valid license. Running ldd tf11lic looks good. But, when a job is run from lawson, like prtf test, it still references TaxFactory 10 and then crashes...

Lump Sum Payments

Started By  Kristie Starzyk
Does anyone issue lump sum payments to employees who are over their maximum pay range in lieu of a salary increase which would push them even more above their max pay range  If you do, do you have anything on the employee record indicating that they received a lump sum payment  Salary changes are a personnel action, so you can see when they were issued with the effective date. Lump sum payments were uploaded via add-ins by payroll, so we can't immediately tell if someone received a lump sum.  ...

Benefit Annual Enrollment - autoenroll

Started By  Bekki
Currently we require all employees to go through Benefit Open Enrollemnt each year and they have to re-enroll in all benefit plans.  I'm wondering if it's possible to set up Open Enrollment to have the plans roll from year to year for all employees.  But still allow them to complete Open Enrollment, if they would like to update (stop/start/change coverage) for one or more plans  If this is possible, can you let me know how you do this  How does it work if there is a rate change on the plan ...

BN100 Deleted BN32 benefits

Started By  Valerie
Recently we experienced where we had an employee change from a benefits eligible status to an ineligible status.  The employee had made their benefit elections and we processed the BS531, BN531 and BN532 jobs.  This employee had benefits on BN32.  When HR changed their employment status to a benefits inelgible status, and the BN100 was run, the BN100 deleted all of the BN32 entries.  No records exists now.  I've checked term rules and that would just stop a benefit, why would it delete the BN32 ...

ADA Accommodation tracking

Started By  Kristie Starzyk
Has anyone found a good screen/method to track ADA accommodations  We use LP51 to track leaves, but management is wanting to track ADA accommodations in Lawson as well.  I see PA15.2 (Work Restriction and Accommodation), but it doesn't have a lot of data points.  Has anyone found another screen to use  We currently do not use any of the Health and Safety screens, but would be open to if that's a better option than LP51.

LP Pay Cycle / Accrual Rate

Started By  Sylvie
Has anyone been able to determine the accural rate used a specific pay  Need to fix almost 200 LP records that got broken back in 2019 with a patch that is causing accurals to be missed on certain pays.  Need to determine which pay cycle that pay would have been paid on and what the correct accrual rate would have been for that pay.  Have not been able to find anything in their the LP events table or any PR table that shows the pay cycle it would have been for that employee.  Trying to automate...

Looking for some feedback on any HR / Payroll Outsourcing

Good Evening! Looking for some feedback on any HR / Payroll Outsourcing folks you all might be using... We are in a phase where we’ve had HCM with S3 in place for a while, and are getting ready to take the GHR Payroll Upgrade. At the same time, the business is starting to recover from COVID and we are starting to get super-busy (obviously a good thing!). One of the things that have become abundantly clear is that our HR / Payroll Team needs more people, but at some level, there may b...

BN297 Offer Amount displaying $0.00

Started By  TheDude
We just processed our 2021 ACA data and noticed that the 1095c form is generating with '$0.00' populating for offer amounts for full time employees that had coverage all (12) months. I reviewed the year end updates and didn't find any reference of this change. Can anyone confirm if this is valid for it to be displaying $0.00 opposed to being blank as it was last year. Thanks!

S3: Creating offline PDF Paystubs

Started By  SShaffer
Good Day All! IT Guy here. We haven’t done it in the past, but we would like to now, especially for our historical S3 payroll… But we want to create offline PDF paystubs for the employees (and ex-employees). Obviously we’ve been talking to MHC about doing that. But one of the challenges for us right now is that we can’t “find” all the historical PMTOUT files. I have a couple questions about that… 1. Is there a particular place where we should be looking for the historical PM...

Impact to FTE change

Started By  Barb
Hi All!  We are about to embark on changing some employees from a 1.07 FTE status and 1944 Annual Hours to a 1.00 FTE status and 2080 Annual Hours and seeking any input we can receive on any trickle down impact in the system.  We have accruals and benefits on our radar as a potential impact, but is there anything else we should be taking into consideration Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Processing Priorities for Fed and State Taxes

Started By  Gary Stone
There are always people that are listed on the PR297 as having social security/medicare in arrears.  Most are tiny amounts and social security/medicare does self correct.  It does cause problems at quarter/payroll year end when the 941’s are done and we have to pay for the arrearages before they are taken.    All of the taxes are set up on PR05 with the same priority of 1.  If multiple deductions within a category have the same priority, the system processes them in numeric/alpha order.  M...
