Does any job run as part of the payroll process prevent the entry of benefits elections through ESS We're not sure if, whether by default or some form of customization, the system prevents entrieas to BN32 while payroll is being run. I ask becasue we suspect that some employees have input their elections through ESS, yet the entries are not found on their BN32 records. We currently run the PR195 using the T - time record method.  Our payroll dept processes bi-weekly pay cycles and we'll run the accrual basically right before they finish up the cycle prior to them running the PR197 payroll close.  We had a 1 day accrual for the month of December.  We used 1 time record date when we submitted the PR195.  The salary (wage) expense was right what we expected for the specific time record date.  But all of the company paid benefits like taxes or retirement, etc. are...

We have an issue where an employee is a Level 7 on HR10 so that they can not see pay rates, birth dates and other sensitive data. I need to change one of the DC plans from Match Limit to Match Percent. do I have any other options besides creating a new plan and creating new deduction codes

An employee was moved into another job code and the old code was made 'I' inactive with a date long before the new time record dates.  So we are manually changing the job code on the PR35.2.  The new job code is not being recognized even after we re-activated the old job.

Hi, we recently switch our health insurance to Delta and they are requiring a 5010 834 file. Has anyone generate the 834 from Lawson to a vendor We are new at the 834 and not sure where to start. Does anyone know if there is a speacial task to reset annual benefit accruals  My customer says their accruals were not reset last year at year-end.  Payroll is telling her that the benefits team needs to reset accurals before the first payroll run of the year, but that's a new one to me.  Anyone have any idea what process needs to be run for this  I thought all acrruals were reset with the PR999.  Thanks in advance for your time.

I changed a program in our upgrade environment and got a cleaned compile. I want to move the program to test environment for user's testing. I used the pgmdump and then tried compiling the custom program and got an error (new fields added to the workfile) are not on the workfile in the new environment.

Is anyone using a foreign national tax software that is compatible/interfaceable with Lawson  We are using Windstar which seems to be lots of hand holding of data that already exists in Lawson.  Or does Lawson have a parternship with a software that helpds manage foreign national taxes/exemptions based on treaties.  Please let me know.  If you have any information, it would be great!

I am working on the year end set up and would like to see how other companies handle the company contributions to an HSA when they are made through AP.  The PR27 can be set to include the pay code for the employee deduction but I did not see any field on PR11 to overide the amount to include the additional dollars the company contribute for the employee.  How are you handling this

We are testing out 9.0.1 and when I review the ACH file the trace field is different then 9.0.0. The new version has the 8 digit ODFI number starting on position 81 not 80 so the last digit is being cut off by the seq. I've run the pr160 ODFI & SDFI flags in all three modes and the only difference is a blank or 0 at position 80 for the trace . Is anyone else having this problem
