FED taxes stopped with ESS Address Change

Started By  Margie Gyurisin
We had an employee's federal taxes stop (FIT, SS, Medicare) when they made a change to their address via ESS. They corrected their address with an effective date of 1984. Our FED taxes have an effective date of 01011998. I am thinking that is why they stopped and if I change those to be effective with a much earlier date, this won't occur again. Does anyone have anthing to add to this Agree Disagree I need to change something else Thanks for your help.

Lawson Canned Reports? EEO - 1 PA390

Started By  TRACY
We want to validate the numbers in PA390. Is there a report in Lawson that will show us a list of all employees that are currently under Category 20 for instance We have already ran the report for this year and when the report says there are 394 white, category 20 employees we want to know the names of these 394 employees. This is just an example. Thanks so much for your help. I believe in Portal last year I stumbled across a way to use Drill around and then print the employees, but of course...

PR23.1

Started By  Deleted User
Hello All, I have some questions regarding the use of PR23.1. I have read the Payroll User Guide and done some research about its uses, but still would appreciate clarity... When utilized, do taxes get distributed to multiple entities or is the sole function to distribute wages to multiple GL accounts Also, do the wages get broken out to the additional entities or are they are reported under the main entity. Thanks much for any insight. Regards, Jeff

Started By  Shane Jones
Hoping someone can tell me what tells BSI which deduction codes should be tracked in Lawson Payroll toward the 16,500 limit for 401(k) contributions. We have two BN15 benefit plans and of course two PR05 deduction codes but it was setup a long time ago so we are not sure what tells BSI to count certain deductions toward the annual limt of 16,500.... Can anyone tell me what makes the connection Thanks Shane

ESS Paychek Task

Started By  Jill
We are trying to find out how people display items like ‘Imputed Income’ on their Pay Check/Stub. Ours is set up as an earning, but our payroll department would like to display in an ‘Other’ category. We’re trying to minimize the number of customizations. Imputed Income is set up as a pay code calculation type 'F-Noncash Income', so from a system standpoint, we would expect it to display in the wages area. However, our current pay check stubs generated from Ceridian display it in a 'Speci...

8/1/2011 Changes to Connecticut Withholding Calculations

Started By  Jodi Kruesel
Connecticut has issued new withholding calculations effective 8/1/2011. Part of this change includes calculation withholding for an employee (new or transfers) that begin CT withholding to be calculated differently than an employee that has had CT set up prior to 8/1/2011,. We are a Lawson and BSI customer. BSI has indicated that Formula 4 will need to be used for employees that begin CT withholding after 8/1/2011. Since PR05 does not default the BSI Formula to PR14, it seems a manual proc...

W2 Fields and Table...

Started By  Shane Jones
Anyone know if there are fields in a table for each of the fields that are displayed on the W-2 I was hoping that I might be able to build something to create an online W-2 for associates. (I know that MHC has an add-on to display W2 pdfs but I would rather not add-on their solution if I could just create a page to pull the fields.)

Smart Notification of PA52

Started By  Lacey
With MSS our supervisors will be entering personnel actions pending that will flow to the PA52. We would like this to trigger a smart notification with all the information that has been entered to the indirect supervisor. I can only get it to pull the header information (name, action, effective date) and the indirect supervisor code. It see the new information fields as repeats, combines them all together, and the field stays blank. How to I solve this issue Thanks, Lacey Bisnett

Special Pay - Based on Benefit coverage Option

Started By  Mark Ivankovich
We are implementing Lawson HR/PR and have a question regarding special pay for employees. We give a flat amount of pay to employees who elects 'Family' coverage for the Medical benefit plan. Our PR Dept. currently process this in our legacy system through an interface program that reads the employees benefit election and creates the pay transaction for a flat amount of pay. How do you recommend we setup this up in our new Lawson system to ensure all employees with this coverage option g...

Supressing some of Drill options in EMSS

Started By  Joe O'Toole
We don't want FICA displaying in the 'Tax Information' window that is part of Employee Drill Around in EMSS. Is there a way to remove this link without removing it from HR11 Drill Around Another option that would work for us is to leave the link, but supress the FICA number in the display. We are still running 8.03 apps / EMSS and LAUA security. Thanks.

iSeries Payroll Positive Pay

Started By  solddaboat
We are converting to 9.0 from 8.1 on an iSeries. I had modified PR197 on Rel 8.1 with one line of code to call a CL program passing ECOMPANY... the CL program then called a RPGLE program that pulled information from DBPRPCH with the current flag DPCHCRRNFL with a status of 'Y' (this status, from what I could tell was only avaliable when PR197 was processing before eoj)I then built my transmission to the bank... The placement of the CL call in 8.1 was located about 1860 lines into the original ...

PA49 iss

Started By  Wolf Hentschel
We use PA49 to track PPD's. I tried loading up dates for the next 5 years, and the system tells me that the date is realted to a test in the system. What I'm doing is adding tests for 4/01/2011; 4/01/2012; 4/01/2013 etc. I have the test date and the status of 1 (Scheduled) with the same Scheduled date as the test date. I can load the first, but it looks like Lawson does not allow test dates on the same day and month and does not look at the year.

PR39 Automation

Started By  BlackSVT03
First I want to say is, I have no experience in Lawson. My knowledge consists of what I can make head or tails out of from the training workbooks of some of my colleagues. So with that out of the way, I have been assigned the task of trying to completely automate the one time deductions. What we have now is we do a data dump from the cafeteria, gift shop; etc. After that, we have a process flow that reads the file, parses out the data, modifies the data and then creates a csv file. Then payroll ...
