In 9.0, have noticed GEN is not an option for granting security in laua security class; also it does not appear in dbdef. I haven't been able to find anything which says that GEN should be available, but also I haven't found anything which says it should not be available. I need to automate the 'Clear IOS Cache' option within Portal Administration. Has anyone done it before (programatically, as maybe using a call within 4GL, or something else). I just don't have the time to research it right now. All of our users can see each other jobs and we want to prevent this. We all use the portal.  Only myself and an other user go into lid. We are on 9.0.1.11 environment 9.1.0.5 apps and use LSA security We were told that usergroups in LAUA provided this functionality. We are planning our Lawson 10.x upgrade.  We currently run Lawson 9.0.1.12 environment and am wondering if we can install LSF 10.x over our existing environment or if we should be creating a new environment.  Is this a requirement  Even if it can be installed inline (over our existing environment) I have concerns regarding cut-over timing.  Does anyone have experience in regard to the length of time. Has anyone successfully installed TaxFactory 10 using an Oracle 12c database  BSI only has 11g libraries.  I tried using them to install TaxFactory 10f1 using an Oracle 12c database.  I was able to get cmptfxora10 to link and install the tfxiface10 libraries with Oracle 12.1.0. I want to create a sub-administrator role and assigned to users that they can use Lawson Security Administrator tool to query only user security setup in Lawson only. I can't figure out how to secure 'Change RM Object' screen in LSA so that they can't remove/add  a group, a role, etc. Any help would be appreciated.

When using Lawson Interface Desktop and then LAUA and looking at the users displayed, there is one user appearing that was deleted using the Lawson Security Administrator.  When deleting the user via the Security Administrator and then going starting LID and then LAUA the user is normally gone.  This one somehow is still there but with no information within the users profile.  I checked for orphan profiles but there are none.  If I create the user again using the Security Administrator and then ...

We have a user that when she runs any jobs, clicks Add and then Submit, the user is displayed the message 'Field is required' in the browser's status bar.  The user has all the required felds entered and it looks like it's thinking the Job Name is not filled in.  If you select the drop down to see all the added jobs the job list comes up but there are no jobs listed.  Has anyone come across this before or have a resolution to this problem  It's preventing the user from doing anything.  Thank yo...

Hello,  hope somebody can give me some insight---Very new to the Lawson software, and we are working with PR197 and need to create a csv/flat file to be ftp'ed.   I tried using the bldxffiles utility and it did the conversion to a csv file, but it only added the LF,  I really need to have a CRLF at the end.  I looked at the parms for this utility, but it does not seem to have that ability.   Is there a better way, when working with the PR197 files  Lawson ver 10,  Thanks Terry

Trying to remove Custom tables that are no longer used, but have several custom programs tied to them. I cant simply just DROP TABLE in SQL because of the programs that are using the table references, GEN ties, etc... same with dbdef. Cant do it.  Is there an easy way to get rid of those, and all possible residual usage/references to these tables
