CX507 - HL7 Pract and Staff Import

Run this program to build the Practitioner and Assistant files automatically
with data from external systems.

Before you run this form, create an HL7 file of practitioner and assistant
information. In addition, before you run CX507 (HL7 Pract and Staff Import),
place the HL7 file in the path $LAWDIR/productline/interface as file CX507WK
or as a user-defined file name.

When you use this import procedure, the program loads practitioner and
assistant data from the HL7 import file into the Case Carts Practitioner and
Assistant files. For the  specific names of the Case Carts case files updated
by CX507 (HL7 Pract and  Staff Import), see the Procurement Management
Technical Guide.

You can build the Practitioner and Assistant files without using this
interface. To build the files manually, use the practitioner setup form to add
practitioner records one at a time. For instructions on the manual procedure,
see "Defining Practitioners" in the Case Carts Procedures Manual. However,
using this interface, you save  keystrokes and improve accuracy, by capturing
the original entries from external systems.

Updated Files

    CKPOINT    - Used in the event of a program or system failure to enable a
                 batch update program to continue from where it left off.

    CXPRACASST - Used to validate practitioner assistant data.

    CXPRACTNR  - Used to validate the case practitioner.


Referenced Files

    CXCOMPANY  - Used to validate case company.
