IC06.1 - Inventory Class

Use this form to optionally set up major and minor inventory classes. Use
inventory classes to further define inventory items in IC11.1 (Item Master) or
IC10.2 (Item Master and Location). For further classification, you can assign
minor inventory classes to major inventory classes. Major and minor inventory
classes print on selected inventory reports and can be used to access item
information in IC30.1 (Item Search). To discontinue use of an inventory class,
change the status to Inactive. An inventory class cannot be deleted unless it
is first removed from all items to which it is assigned.

Updated Files

    CKPOINT    - This file is used in the event of a program or system failure
                 to enable a batch update program to continue from where it left
                 off.


    MAJORCL    - Primary file maintained by program.

    MINORCL    - Detail file maintained by program.


Referenced Files

    ITEMGROUP  - Used to validate item groups entered.

    ITEMMAST   - Used to determine if a class is in use before deleting.
