IC07.1 - Purchasing Class
Use this form to optionally set up major and minor purchasing classes. Use
purchasing classes to further define inventory items. Purchasing classes are
used extensively in the Purchase Order application, print on selected
inventory reports, and can be used to access item information in IC30.1 (Item
Search). You assign purchasing classes to inventory items in IC11.1 (Item
Master) or IC10.2 (Item Master and Location). You can classify inventory items
further by assigning minor purchasing classes to major purchasing classes.
To discontinue use of a purchasing class, change its status to Inactive. A
purchasing class cannot be deleted unless it is first removed from all items
to which it is assigned.

CKPOINT - This file is used in the event of a program or system failure
to enable a batch update program to continue from where it left
off.
MAJORCL - Primary file maintained by program.
MINORCL - Detail file maintained by program.
Referenced Files
ITEMGROUP - Used to validate the existence of item groups.
ITEMMAST - Used to determine if a class is in use before deleting.
