We are just beginning to implement LAWSON.  We are looking for ideas on how to setup FMLA tracking for full time leaves and intermittent leaves of absence.  We haven't had much guidance so far from our consultants.  Basically what we're looking for is how to best track FMLA time taken and how to process it.  Our consultants are suggesting opening up the LP51 to our managers to input the leave and then having HR review it, but it doesn't seem logical to us.  Is there a way to track FMLA 12 weeks ...

After running the PA393 I am receiving an error (Employee is not linked to an establishment) for a few hundred employees.  They are all new locations this year.  I've added all locations via PA93.2.  Any suggestions of how I can get rid of this error

We are getting a file from a third party vendor to upload hired applicants into Lawson using PA531.  We are getting an error for field 64 which is Salary Status (Salary or Hourly), but field 64 is not in the file layout or on the form PA31.  Doe anyone know how to resolve this issue I have search the Lawson website with no help.

We are on 9.0 environment and Apps, on a Windows platform, also running ESS/MSS 9.0. Through researching Lawson  KB articles and LIS sessions, we have come to realize that although there is an option to notify HR of any address changes made by employees through ESS (by the setup of the HS07 screen), it only produces the email, but does not send it. It simply renders the email on their screen, but is then reliant upon the end user to hit the 'SEND' button in order for it to actually be sent to...

We are looking at using the Employee Testing Tracking in Lawson (PA49). We add some tests and data for employees. It allows you to enter comments by right-clicking on the test name and selecting Attachments. These comments will print out on the Employee & Applicant Test Listing (PA249). Does anyone know where this comment data is stored  We want to write some custom reports with this data. As part of our open enrollment process this year, we would like to send confirmation statements to employees via email prior to when they become effective.  We are aware of the BN245 and add-in capabilities, but we are not 100 convenienced they are secure once we bursted and email them.   What creative and secure ways have other clients distributed their confirmation statements via email

We are in the process of moving from 8.1.ESP5 to 9.0.0.6.  It looks like the functionality between what LP08.3 and the efffect of the settings for 'subtract' and 'include' have changed quite a bit.   Has anyone seen this behavior before  Specifically in production the subtract removes hours so as an employee takes vaction the hours are subtracted from their balance In are dev 9.0.0.6 environment subtract actually adds the hours so as the employee takes vaction they get more and more time....

We have flex time employee's who are not setup with an LP Absence plan (no PTO) however PR36.1 will allow the user to enter a PTO pay code for these employees.  At least one employee was paid for PTO even though they do not have a PTO plan. PR36.1 will warn when an employee goes negative but not when the pay code isn't valid. Has anyone else experianced this issue  Any setup recommondations

We are in the process of rolling out ESS and are testing Benefit Enrollment for flex spending only.  Since we are new to ESS, we are not sure what data should be displayed on an Elections screen.  After choosing to keep, change, stop, or select a different plan, the next screen shows the plan for the next period.  The screen also has a Continue, Previous, and Elections button.  When selecting the Elections button we get a new window that displays employee info but nothing is listed under Plan an...

We are in the process of upgrading to Apps 9.0.1.4 from 8.0.1.6.  One of the 'features' that we have been waiting for is the benefit deduction start dates fields on BN31.2/BN32.  We have been testing our benefit upload process using BN531/BN532 and noticed that our plans attached to flex are not updating the deduction start date field.  Actually, the benefit itself errors out on the upload and does not add to BN32.  Has anyone encountered this issue in Apps 9
