I have done several paintscreens in Finance. Typically an OBJ-ID pointer gets 'whacked' and is off by one, and it's easy to make a paintscreen, update the obj-id, and Lawson is happy. Not so with the HR11 record. I am getting a StoreDB error Duplicate Record with a particular company, employee, OBJ-ID, field number, date and sequence number (0000). When I build a paintscreen and flip to that employee, I cannot find that object ID. I admit I do not fully understand ...

End-user ran a series of purge programs - including PR300. Fortunatley, he ran the PR300 with the option of creating a copy file (written to the work directory). We need to bring these records back and are looking for guidance. I suppose that there are two options: MS add-ins and importdb. There's no conversion program for PRDISTRIB. Can this be done PA52.4 will not allow a value of zero for the FTE field since our FTE min is defined as 0.1. When I create a new rule in PA06 to (supposedly) allow this, and run PA111 to update, I still cannot add an employee with a zero FTE value... I'm a complete and total newb on the HR/PR side of lawson, so forgive me if I've reported this issue sloppily - I figure I'm missing something obvious.

Hi, I would like to know if i-Series Lawson HR Suite can be installed in the User ASP (Auxilliary Storage Pool) of the DASD Typically, the RSTLIB command comes up with the System ASP as the default value. We are able to change that to User ASP, but wanted to know, if this will create any issues at a later stage after completing the install. We are about to go up on ESS/MSS, and have a question. For the Managers, they really have no business knowing if I (one of their direct reports) have a Child Care deduction, or whatever listed, so we want to take that link away from them. When that manager logs into ESS, I believe that this link will still not be there for them. Is there a way around this, or do we have to resort to seperate logins for the managers to keep their security in tact. And then what about the HR personell wh...

While doing some testing with Dependents in ESS I have noticed that some people do not have the ability to add dependents. Do you know why this might be. At first I thought it was due to the employee having single coverage benefits. But when I changed my test record from having family coverage to single and removed my dependents I still had the ability to add dependents.

We are trying to update changed Lawson Payroll records (PA52.5) with a batch upload through the Lawson Add-In for MS Excel. We have the upload file ready with an action of add, but run into a problem with the inquire action buttion. How do we include an 'inquire action button' to 'inquire' in an upload Is this doable or should we use a different screen I don't think we should need to 'inquire' when uploading.
