AM09.1 - Accounting Unit Group
This program defines accounting unit groups, which group and identify the
accounting units to use when you create journal entries for adding, adjusting,
transferring, or disposing of assets. Changes to accounting unit groups are
dynamic, affecting all assets using the accounting unit group. Accounting unit
group names are user-definable, and accounting unit groups are set up by
company.
Lawson recommends that you include books with identical calendars in a book
group. This may prevent the closing of a final period or one book while
closing only an interim period for other books. For example, if a General
Ledger companies book uses monthly period but its tax book uses quarterly
periods, you should not include the General Ledger book and the tax book in
the same group.
