AM41.1 - Reinstate Disposed Assets
**Form purpose
Use Reinstate Disposed Assets (AM41.1) to reinstate a disposed asset.
**Prerequisites
You can reinstate an asset only if it has been disposed in the current year.
**Required fields
You must select the asset name and reinstatement date.
**More help
Wen you add this form, the program navigates to Reinstate Journal Entries
(AM41.2) and lets you approve, modify, or reject the prompted journal
entries. The journal entries reverse the entries made by the previous
disposal.
You can delete a reinstated disposal before you release it. After you release
the reinstatement, the asset becomes a normal asset and must go through the
disposal process again to be disposed.
After you release the reinstatement, using this form or Processing Release
(AM170), you can recalculate any missing depreciation. To recalculate
depreciation, adjust the asset to use the Y compute option on Books (AM20.4)
and run Depreciation Calculation and Listing (AM180) to update the
depreciation.

AM41.2 - Reinstate Disposed Assets
**Form purpose
Use Reinstate Journal Entries (AM41.2) when you reinstate an asset to
reverse the journal entries created by the disposal.
**Decision/impact
If you navigate automatically to this form from Reinstate Dispose Assets
(AM41.1), the form displays the journal entries required to reverse the
disposal entries. You can ignore or modify these entries, but you will then
have to enter equivalent entries manually to correct your books.
