We are planning to stop mailing or hand delivering pay advice and make it available on-line or via email. We have a couple of options, but are wondering how other companies using Lawson accomplish this?

We use ESS to show the pay advice and do not print these. The only payroll that we print are the small percentage ( about 5% of our population) of people who do not do direct deposit. All users have access to this from both home and in the office and can print directly from ESS if they need for any reason.

This works very well for us and have no issues with it. Saves paper while allowing users to access on demand.

We also use Lawson's employee self service which allows employees to view pay statements on-line. We print statements for employees on a leave who do not have access to ESS (we only allow internal access, not via internet). We are also a multi-state employer so we have some states that we must offer the option to receive a printed statement. I would say 90+% of our employees do not receive a printed statement.

ESS for online paychecks... Works well for us.
