We are getting ready to implement ADPs E-Time and Attendance which is Krono's time system (they just resell it) and I was wondering if there were some folks out there that I could contact regarding the experience they have with there interface from Kronos to Lawson PR.

Is there anything in Lawson that we have to do before this implementation? We are on 9.0.1 and we currently use the Lawson time card and the employees supervisor enters only exception time (vacation, sick). When we go with Kronos we will be moving from an exception based system to a positive pay system where the employee will enter all time and will have the ability to charge other companies for their time. We currently run the HS535 and then the PR530 program in Lawson to pull the time in. Would those steps stay the same?

    Thank you for any input.

We use KRONOS and use the PR530 transactions to pull in the time.

      We haven't had any issues.
      Thanks,
      Lisa

we run kronos connect, ftp and run a customized version of pr530.
the output file from connect should fit the prtrcsv file format and you will need a script to ftp the file to a lawson directory. it should be the same from there.

Yes, we use Kronos for time entry, then interface the time record file back to Lawson for upload via PR530 (PRTRCSV). Once our payroll dept signs off the timecards in Kronos, we run the interface back to Lawson via Kronos Connect, which we have some custom lookup tables set up to map the paycodes to those in Lawson, then we load the time records in a temp table in Lawson. We have some custom scripting that we run prior to the upload with PR530, but that aside, it's a pretty smooth process. We were actually using Kronos prior to using Lawson, so the transition was pretty good. We also use Absence Management for our accrual plans, then we interface those back to Kronos. So, in all, we have 3 interfaces between the two systems, a daily employee import from Lawson to Kronos, a daily accruals interface from Lawson to Kronos, and the payroll export from Kronos back to Lawson. If you have any specific questions, please feel free to contact me.

            Take care!

I have worked with Lawson and Kronos for quite some time on 3 different versions of Kronos - iSeries, Workforce Central and Etime. It is easy to feed Lawson hours and monetary amounts from both Kronos Workforce Central via Connect and From Kronos on iSeries (as400)via PRTRCSV and FTP. However it is a different story to feed Lawson from Etime. Etime is a very old product and will not create a PRTRCSV file for you with out additional work. You will need to somehow get ADP (Etime) to create a file in the format you need for PRTRCSV or manipulate the data after the file is created yourselves. The company I now work for has 67 different companies therefore 67 different databases. We had an outside resource who was familiar with Etime data write the code to pull the data from Etime into a PRTRCSV format then combine the data from all 67 database into one file for FTP purposes.

Hello, I know this is an older post, but we have Infor S3 and are currently using PR530 to import a file.  We are interested in implementing Kronos.  Is there someone who has success with this process that I can contact?

                Thanks
