Buyer restrictions

    We have acquired a new clinic that we want to enable a buyer for.  This buyer needs to only be able to view for the clinic and order for the clinic.  We have tried to set up the PO04 restrictions based on attributes for Ship To, etc.  No luck.  Any ideas how we can accomplish this?

      How do you have the clinic set up? If you attach the clinic to just that buyer than only po's for that clinic should come to that buyer. in po04 you can click on related links and see other screens related to that screen. You can restrict a buyer to a vendor and a class which is defined on the item also.

        We made this restriction on PO04 but the buyer was still able to view all PO's,etc.  Would we have to set this type of restriction up in Security?  The clinic is just another department under 1 company so we unfortunately can't separate by company #.

          As far as I'm aware - the ability to inquire on a PO is the ability to inquire on a PO. I'm not sure I understand the concern if they can see other people's POs?

            I think it is more of a preference than a concern.  The "buyers" wouldn't really be employees of our Supply Chain department so would have no need to view other PO's.  They want to train 1 person from an outlying clinic to do their own purchasing but want to have a way to restrict them from seeing the other PO's for the organization.

              If the "buyer' is set up like the other buyers in security there isn't much you can do. Other than set that clinic up as a whole different company.
