    Hey All,

We're running into an interesting problem and I'm only involved on the periphery and the issue is certainly on the Cerner side. Hopefully some of you have encountered this and could help me out. Here's the rundown:

We have an item that we buy and transact in the UOM of EA. The price of this item is X. This data is sent over to Cerner via an interface that our host created and it's querying the IC11 and PO25.6 records every night. The problem is the item in question is reusable, up to 10 times. So when they are putting together case cost using Cerner, there is a charge that is 10 times the cost of the item. Since the only unit of measure is EA, I'm not sure what the best way to deal with this problem is and I'm doing everything I can to keep from bastardizing Lawson to any extent.

I've inquired with Cerner and they say they have no way of dealing with this problem. I've considered creating a custom UOM with a .1 UOM conversion but I've been told Cerner can't handle decimals on their end. I'm kind of at a loss.

Any experience with this issue or something similar that someone would be willing to share?
