Is the From Company and From location (required) on the Detail profile tab your ship to information?

Now that we are on v10, when creating a req, the company you have on your basic tab, is not an available choice on your Detail profile tab.

Infor has explained that this is due to how the tables index with each other, so the end user will have to manually key in the information on the detail profile tab.

Is the company and from location the ship to information?

The office manager is directing other requesters to manually key in their company so it matches the company on the basic tab so that the req comes over with the correct company. If the Detail profile tab is actually the ship to, then this is confusing because the only ship to location built that's an available choice is under Co 1.

We do not have multiple companies here so we've hidden most of that on the RQC xml. But to test which one shows up where - you can create test reqs with different values then look up those req numbers in RQ10.

If the users shouldn't mess with the Detail Profile Company/Loc, you can actually hide the field in RQC.

Hi Bev. I think I know what you're asking, but it seems like two different questions to me.
One is this: Is the From Company and From Location the ship-to? The answer is yes.
The second question is where I'm fuzzy on what you're asking. Are you asking; is the From Company on the Detail Profile able to be the same company (Requesting Company) as on the Basic tab? I *think* so. But, ours is set such that the requester cannot change what we default in from their RQ04 record.

As far as what Infor is telling you about table indexes, this sounds like a problem we encountered recently:
If you're requesting company is 1, then in the Accounting tab, company 1 will default in. But, if you change it to company 2 and then try to click on it and select company 1 again, it will not appear. This is because the Distribution Company field on the Accounting tab is actually using the Intercompany table now. This changed in a recent update to RQC for some reason. It was a bad programming decision, in my opinion, because there is no intercompany record from company 1 to company 1.
