We have RSS on our Test Machine.
I thought I could Modify RSS XML using
Design Studio. 3.1.7.7
I just wanted to hide some options.
I cannot find the XML???

FYI
I logged a ticket with Lawson and was told that you cannot Modify
RSS (XML) with Design Studio. I just wanted to hide some of the Options.

Norm, that is correct. You cannot use Design Studio to modify any of the self-service centers: RSS, ESS/MSS, etc. You have to hand-modify the HTML, JavaScript, and/or XML.

I have tried to find the code?
Do you have any ideas where it would be located?.
I have looked thru the install manual.
It kinda looks like Lawson does not deliver it.

Files you're looking for are probably somewhere in:
$WEBDIR/lawson/procurement/rss ...
$WEBDIR/lawson/procurement/rss/xFiles/xml
Not sure what you're trying to modify...

I have been looking into this as for our RSS-Approvals the ability to see line item detail without having to drill about 4 times would be great. Particular since the ability to see Req Line Detail is hampered by an outstanding PT we have.

There is also a config file that you can do some of this with, but I can't remember exactly what it's called, or where it's located off the top of my head. I know for sure you can make some fields read-only.. I will continue to look for the file.

Look into the rss_config.xml file. That is where we have done most of our mods that we needed for RSS here.
Servlet Container Location of rss_config.xml
Tomcat CATALINA_BASE/webapps/rss/WEB-INF/classes
Sun ONE / iPlanet WEBDIR/lawson/rss/WEB-INF/classes
WebSphere WAS_HOME/installedApps/
/rss.ear/rss.war/WEB-INF/classes
