401k Company Match Schedule on BN15

Hello! We're trying to set up a plan schedule where the Company matches 100 of employee's 401(k) contributions up to 3, and then matches 50 of employee's contributions up to 5. Has anyone done this Or, does anyone have advice on how we can set this up Thanks!

EMSS Tax Change - Exempt

Has anyone re-coded the W4 in v 09.00.01.06.00 to allow the employee to choose exempt on their W4 If so would you be willing to share your code It's an option in 10.0.2 but we aren't there yet.

DB Plan accruing contribution beyond Annual Comp Max

We have a DB Plan that accrues contributions based upon a percentage of compensation.  However, even though we have the Annual Limits set up on BN12.1, the plan continues to accrue contributions beyond the annual compensation limit.  Does anyone know if there is something we might be missing in the plan setup to account for this issue  Nothing seems obvious and there is a lot of documentation around DC Plan limits but very little around DB Plans.

United Way One-Time Gifts

I know we can gather data on 'standardized' payroll deductions for United Way gifts that are deducted from payroll, either via PR14 or PR39. However, we are wondering how other organizations handle (and track) those one-time gifts that are not deducted from payroll. We have numerous employees who prefer to do a one-time gift either by cash or check, rather than have their gift collected via payroll deduction. HR06 Error Message - Cannot inactivate; active Time Records exist

I went to HR06 today to inactivate a job code we are no longer using. However, when I changed the Status field from 'A' to 'I' and clicked Change, I got an error message reading 'Cannot inactivate; active Time Records exist' and was unable to proceed. Has anybody else ever received this message, and if so how did you navigate around it Thanks!

XMIT in PA52.3

Excuse my ignorance with the system, but what can I do in PA52.3 to rid myself of the 'must inquire before using this function code' I've already formatted and entered in the HK field, but the problem is unlike other PA52 areas there is no _f4,XMIT-HREMP-BLOCK.  I just have XMIT-Curr & XMIT-ACT-EXISTS Thank you for your help

Printed Benefits Enrollment Confirmations

PR00 Asterisk disappearing

We run 2 PR140 jobs with the process level option for independent process levels.  We run 1 PR140 job for our dependent process levels using processing group.  We can verify that the PR160 jobs for both independent process levels completed successfully.  During the last 2 payrolls, when we check PR00 for the independent process levels PR140 and PR160 show all asterisks.  When we are ready to run PR197 for one of the independent process levels the next day, the PR160 asterisk disappears.  We are ...

401k deduction and 401K Roth deduction

Anyone facing this situation where the employee will have a pretax 401k and aftertax 401k Roth deduction and the company limit looks at both deductions combined to determine the match  Note the deductions are taken at the same time but different deduction codes. We do not use Lawson Benefits module

LP Allotment Vaction/Time Off Program

Has anyone set up their vacation/time off program as an allotment in Lawson. We currently have our set up as accrual for hourly employees and annual allotment for salary employees. We are having issues with LP145 with the recalculations of the FTE changes that happen with our salary employees, LP102 with date changes in HR11 and LP140. The problems are the LP145 is working on adjusting the FTE changes but it is adding a new month of allotment for some employees which I do not want it to do. L...

HR 105 Previous Value

I am new to using the HR 105 to track employee address changes. While reviewing the HR 105 report, I noticed that in some cases the previous value is populated, but in other cases it is blank. Except for new employees, I believe there should always be a previous value, but I'm not sure why it is blank is some cases. 401(k) set up Match Percent Schedule

Currently, our Contribution Type on BN15.1 is 6 Match Limit Schedule. When I change it to 7 Match Percent Schedule, Lawson does not allow me. It gives me the message: 'Cannot change coverage or contribution type; benefits exist.' Do you know how to go about changing the contribution type Thanks!

Access Employee Self Service from mobile device

Hi, We are on EMSS version 10.0.4  (Lawson app 9.0.1) and our company wants to access Employee self Service from a mobile device (phone/tablet). We do not like the Lawson ESS Mobile app. It does not provide a full version of EMSS. We heard that upgrading to Infor 10x will give us that capability but we could not find anyone that it is using it. ESS Direct Deposit with role-based security

We have rolled out ESS direct deposit to a small group of employees and it works for laua users but not for role-based users.  Does anyone have a list of the exact tables and tokens that the user needs access to in order for direct deposit updates to work  So far we think BANKFILE, EMACHDEPST, EMPLOYEE, PREMPBANK, PRSYSTEM, and maybe EMSTATUS  We know PR12.1 and HR11.1 (for the auto deposit update) are needed.  But we must be missing something in the role-based setup and are wondering if anyon...

Wanted to get an idea of what other companies do when employee wage garnishments are mailed to the courts or creditor Like do you all fill out a wage garnishment worksheet (i.e. SF-329C) that details gross pay, taxes taken out, disposable pay, and how your payroll came out with the amount of the check. PA100 going into Recovery

We have been having PA100 go into recovery almost daily for  a couple of months.  We have been working iwth Lawson Support, but so far none of us have found the cause yet.  It does not go into recovery every tiem,  it does not go into recovery every time for a specific action, although it 'seems' like if it goes into recovery it is on three specific actions.  We've recompiled, rebuilt indexes, checked bsi (although I believe Lawson support thinks there is an Oracle issue around bsi interface),  ...

employee changes- HRHISTORY

I am writing a custom program and I need to determine if an employee had any FTE, Standard hours, annual hours, union code changes prior to a pay period being processed. HR told me to look in the PAEMPOS table but I don't see anything in there or a flag that can identify the exact field that was changed. I can see an effective date that could have been for status change, pay rate change, FTE, etc. Should I bee looking in HRHISTORY instead

Setting up a Roth 401K

We are in the process of setting up a Roth 401K plan. We currently have a regular 401K. There is a combined limit of 3.50 on the Matched Employer contributions. When entering this into Lawson it’s treating them independently. We need the system to look at them together.
