ESS Direct Deposit - Multiple Accounts

Started By  Jodi Kruesel
We will be rolling out ESS - Direct Deposit to our employees this fall and are considering allowing employees to deposit into multiple accounts. Has anyone encountered issues with allowing deposits into multiple accounts If you allow multiple accounts-- 1) How many do you allow 2) Were you concerned with the additional cost incurred due to the increase in volume on the ACH file Foe example, current cost is 9 cents per ACH transaction and approximately 2100 transactions per payroll. If ...

Updating Step & Grade

Started By  Mary Porter
Would love to hear from anyone out there that has a step and grade system - how do you get the salary based benefits to update (life insurance, LTD) I have two tickets logged with Lawson CASE and they are able to duplicate but not resolve. There has to be a way to do this that we are just missing - can't be that we would need to manually stop and restart every employee's benefits. Any help any ideas would be appreciated - and if Lawson comes back with something I will post.

Benefit Self Service - Multiple Biweekly, Pay Cycles

Started By  Kelly H
We’re looking for some direction from someone who uses BSS and pays on a bi-weekly cycle with more than one cycle but takes benefit deductions on a semi-monthly schedule.  We have the BS01.1 (Benefits Enrollment Rules) set with a Semi Monthly cost divisor so that we can show the per pay costs but have the BS06.1 (Benefits Cycle Rules) set as bi-weekly to accommodate mid-year FSA plan and HSA account changes…which is needed to determine the number of pays remaining based on the pay plan. When ...

Send add'l detail from P/R to G/L

Started By  Deleted User
Currently the payroll file passed to Finance for the g/l is giving them a department level break down of dollars.  The want to see the break down to a department/job code level.  We've looked into creating job code specific pay codes that use the job code as the sub account however PR20.4 has a 9,999 record limit and we have a lot more codes than that.  Has anyone done anything like this or have a custom process in place

Started By  pmeckes
We have the entire HR suite from lawson except  payroll. We out source our payroll. We are trying to determine how to come up with the ytd amounts that need to be forwarded to our payroll company. BN320 only runs for one month. Your annual amount is divided by 12 and prints. It doesn't really calculate the actual amounts. Any ideas

Employee Group Criteria of Not Having UserField

Started By  Woozy
I need to create an Employee Group that has a number of criteria.  One of the requirements is that an employee can be a member of the group if they DON'T have a specific UserField value. For Example, something like:   Union=N   UserField 'Vesting' = from 1 to 9 OR   Union=N   UserField 'Vesting' {does not exist} Is there a way to do this  Can I use *BLANK as the value or something Thanks!

Open Enroll ESS Help plz!

Started By  Sarah
This year we are changing our FTE requirement from .20 to .40 for an employee to be eligible for any benefit. This changes the employee groups that are nested within benefit plans AND employee groups that identify what rates employees can see when they go thru ess. Here's the issue: Since employee groups are not effective dated, how can we have new hire and open enrollments going on at the same time The 2012 benefits have an fte of .20 but 2013 benefits have a minimum fte of .40; if I cha...

Crystal - find Emp Status when PRTIME check cut

Started By  AngieP
I am trying to write a Crystal Report from PRTIME for any employee who was part-time when a check was cut.  Basically, I have a group of pay summary groups that I need to total the hours, by check date, and if the employee was at part-time status when the check was cut, give me the record.  I need a way to compare the check date to the employee status/stauts eff date (in HRHISTORY) and if the employee was part-time, give me the total hours for that check on the report. I know the tables I need t...

8 and 80 Overtime from 40 hours

Started By  Margie Gyurisin
We currently calculate OT based on a 40 hour work week and are considering switching to a calculation of 80 hours in a pay period. I am thinking that we will need to create new pay plans.  Is there any other set up that will need to be changed  I am also thinking that once I assign the new pay plans to the employees, the PR132 will calcualte the rate of pay based on the complete 2 week pay period instead of looking at each week. Our actual OT hours are calculated in KRONOS so I know we will n...

Outsource Benefits Module?

Started By  martingibbs
Has anyone had experience with outsourcing the BN module in Lawson (Still run HR, PA, Payroll)... especially in an instance where the module was there and in use, and then discontinued to go with a SaaS vendor If you know anyone, or have had experience, please let me know. I know there would be some areas of contention, but would appreciate feedback from anyone who has gone through it.

script to delete service identities

Started By  BJ
Help! We accidentally loaded a LWA9T service identity for over 800 ESS only users. It is causing problems. Does anyone have a utility or script that will examine each RM id, and if it is prefixed with a given string, in this case 'GF', delete the associated LAW9T service identity Hate to do these manually, one by one! Thanks

Prevent printing of ESS Benefits Enrollment Confirmation

Started By  TBonney
Has anyone made customizations to prevent employees from being able to print their benefits elections confirmation within ESS, which they'd be willing to share Our HR dept. sends our Elections Confirmations to employe's home addresses after open enrollment period is closed. Therefore, since the enrollments are done from pc banks that get set up within public locations, they do not want employees to be able to print them. Their concern is, in part, due to liability issues if the employees lea...

Retaining Employee Dates Acquisition

Pay Frequency Conversion

Started By  Mario Romero
Hello, We are in the middle of switching a number of employees that are currently getting paid weekly to a bi-weekly payroll. Since this is the first time that we do this, I want to make sure that we don't miss anything as this task was assigned to me on a very short notice (which means that there will not much testing involved). I give you a little background of what we are about to do: 1. Switch a group of employees from Weekly to Biweekly 2. We have employees with different status: Par...
