    Looking for information.

How do you handle EOI in Lawson Self Service?  Is that standard now?  I always thought you had to use a third party to help with that like Intellias if you wanted an automated process?

I am interested in how others manage it.

    Thanks.

      Margie -
When we converted to Lawson in 2015, we had our consultants (RPI) put in custom programming for an EOI process. The employee is notified that their election is over the guarantee issue on that benefit election screen. When they elect that amount, our system will set them back to the amount they had previously. At the end of the enrollment, once they hit submit, they are emailed their confirmation statement and a separate email that tells them that they will receive an email from our vendor to fill out EOI. Our benefits team is copied on that email to the employee AND their election is also placed in an inbasket in Lawson for approval or denial later.
The one downside to our process is when we approve the election in the inbasket, it doesn't do anything. We still need to go to BN32 to adjust their enrollment. Also, we cannot run reports off of the inbasket. So during Open Enrollment or for New Hires, we have to manually create a file to send to our vendor so they can send an online EOI to employees.
It has it's flaws, but it's the only way that we could keep track of EOI since Lawson didn't have a solution for us. We are going through a GHR conversion here soon... so we are hoping there is a better solution in that version.
Let me know if you want me to email you screen shots of what the employee sees.
