We just found out that the cycle time for PTO Accrual in Absence Management starts at zero instead of 1 as in Time Accrual. So, when we configure the plan to have PTO change at 105th week, it actually does it in 106th week since it counts 0th as first cycle. This is a strange change that Lawson did in Absence Mgmt. Has anyone had any issues due to this when they converted to Abs Mgmt from TA? I cannot imagine that we would the only ones who encountered this. I would love to hear how you overcame this issue.

    Thanks

Luckily we realized this prior to going live with LP.

Most of our plans are cycle based on a bi-weekly cycle.

Initially, since LP is setup with FROM as apposed to THROUGH in TA, I had thought that when building the new LP plans I should adjust the cycles UP 1. So cycle 132 in TA become 133 in LP. However, since finding that LP starts at 0 cycle, as you said, I altered the build of LP plans so they actually mirror the setup in TA.

So a plan setup as Through cycle 132 in TA
is now setup as From cycle 132 in LP

Not sure why the documentation from Lawson was not a little more clear but I can only imagine that since I think many Lawson clients opted to use the conversion programs as apposed to manually re-building all their plans in LP that they MIGHT have thought that making LP start at 0 would allow clients to utilize the same cycle setup from TA to LP even though the cycle structure went from a through logic to a from logic.
