I'm interested to talk to someone who has a unique deferred compensation plan set up. We curretnly have modifications in our PR140, 160 and 197 programs to satisfy our requirements. The difficulty of our plan is that we want to apply our 401k percent election to our 401k wages (base pay minus any deferred comp). Current set up with Lawson wants to take out the deferred comp amount and then multiply any 401k election to the original base amount. This is NOT how HR wants it to happen. The other option we may consider is to apply the deferred comp as a negative earning and then the base pay would be the "401k wages". This is not a preferred option because people don't want to have their deferred comp deducted as a flat amount, they want it as a percentage. We do have limits on our deferred compensation as well. I appreciate any feedback.

Hello. I have a very similar situation. I'm being told that to do as you described we will require custom programming. Is that how you have resolved your issue as well?

Not sure if I understood the issue, but have you tried specifying a Pay Class in PR05 tied your 401k deduction and exclude deferrred comp pay summary group from that pay class in PR20.3 ?
