ESS Error "Cannot change stop date with delete function code"

    We recently upgraded to LSF9.  We began Annual Enrollment via ESS this week and are receiving the error "Cannot change stop date with delete function code" on one of our plans.  The plan has been around several years and never been a problem but is causing havoc in LSF9.  Can anyone give a quick synopsis of what causes the error and how to fix it?

      Hi Brenda,
      Are you using the function code "D" to add stop dates to plans? If you are only trying to stop a plan, the function code should be an "S". We don't use ESS but when our benefits dept. makes changes during open enrollment, this is the code they use.

        Hi Brenda - when does the error occur? During the employee election? Or when running the BS531?
