We are a healthcare system with shared and auto login PCs in our hospitals.  We are and close to implementing ESS, but we have concerns about sensitive personal information being left on the screen if and when a user is times out due to inactivity.  An automatic time out by Lawsondoes not clear the screen, the info remains on the screen.  Has anyone created a way to clear the screen when a user is timed out due to inactivity?

That's like telling ATM bank customer remember to take the ATM card when they are done performing transaction. Users keep forgetting 'common sense' do exist.

So between the time the person left the common workstation -> timeout, another user could have used the logged-in-still-active-session to make changes via ESS. That is more of a concern in your scenario. I would highly suggest educating the users to "logout" when done would be a better approach.

While it is true that educating users to logout is the best way they don't always do it and it would be nice to have a way to clear the screen when it does happen. We are not at the point of implementing ESS, but I would be interested in whether this could be done or not. Thank you.
