We acquired a group of employees and honored their original hire date with their former company for LP. Six months later, we discover that one of the employees that we put in with the acquisition date actually was had been with the former company for 10 years. We changed the date that the service rule is based on so that going forward the cycle count/accrual rate is correct, but we are wondering if there is a programmatic way to do a retroactive look back to the acquisition date to add the extra accrual amount vs a manual process. Is this even possible or is it always a manual calc? LP140 will retro back to the acquisition date but adds the full accrual amount for each payroll vs the difference between what was accrued and what should have been accrued. Appreciate any response.
