We are looking at implementing MSS for Job Requisitions and passing data to Position Manager then back into Lawson via Applicant side possibly.

Does anyone have any advice regarding the implementation of MSS Job Requistions?

Is there a work flow diagram for MSS?

We would like to control job requisitions by the managers fte value. If they don't have an available fte they can't post a requistion. Can this type of control be setup?

Is there any type of output file (standard/custom) that MSS can produce to input into position manager?

Thanks for any and all help,
    Matthew

I am pretty sure that you can attach a process flow to a job requisition. You should be able to trigger a flow that would review the available FTE and decide if they should get a denial or not... (I seem to remember seeing something that would allow you to budget positions so that a manager is not able to create a requisition AT ALL if it puts them over their FTE. Problem I see with this is that you might want to open a requisition when you know someone is "going" to be leaving. The approval processflow could review and allow someone in HR to override when appropriate.

Note: just verified that you can attach PA42 to a processflow. If you have integrator you could have an approval process that could look at information in your system to determine if the system should get approval first.

Also, Lawson defines position rules and indicates this: "How you set up the budget limits influences how many requisitions you create. The selection you make in the Restrict to Budget field for position rules determines if the application will allow you to create the requisition." This tells me that you could prohibit requisitions by setting this correctly if you wanted.
