We are experiencing a problem when running PR299. The Retirement Indicator is not displaying a 1 and should be for employees that have a Y in the Retirement field on the Year End tab of the HR11. If you have tested PR299 for year end 2010, what are you seeing with this report?

I've logged the issue with GSC and am actively working on the issue but would appreciate the insight of other users.

    Thanks!

Jodi - apps 8.1 - we have the indicator, but we don't use the flag on HR11

I ran the PR299 and I am showing the 1 in the Retirement indicator. We are on 9.0.1

To be more specific we are only seeing the issue for employees who are not a 401k plan participant but are a pension/retirement plan participant and have the HR11 retirement field as a Y.

Are you seeing it work correctly for those who are not 401k participants??

            spatterson,

Do you run PR127 each year to copy employee PR11 records? We use PR127 to copy PR27 records. GSC is telling me that PR127 needs to be ran each year to copy PR11 records also. We have never done this and have been live with Lawson since 2006. It has been my understanding the if nothing is on PR11 then HR11 is used.

We do not use PR11s to manage that. In fact until this year for the HIRE ACT employees only, we never populated anything on the PR11. Do you have the latest CTPs for YE installed? I tested it with one of our EEs who does not contribute to 403b but has Y flag on HR11 because of a non Lawson pension plan and that employee did have the 1 in the retirement field of the PR299.

If I scanned KB Article 556615 correctly, HR11 flag would supersede PR11 flag.

                Margie,

Thanks you for responding. I'm glad to hear that you have not needed PR11 is the past in order to get PR299 to populate a 1 for the Retirement Indicator. As least my understand is also the same as yours. I've seen the KB article and although it refers to PR297 not PR299, I would suspect they work the same in that if no value on PR11 the HR11 value is used.

Can you confirm for me that you do not use PR127 with Report Type of E-Employee and Report Selection of 4 - EE PR11 Parms?

Margie what version are you on? We are on 9.0.1 this year end, 8.1 last year end.

This has certainly turned into a hunt for me. I tested it yesterday in our PATCH environment and the 1 was there. When you asked me the question about the PR127, I went to our PROD environment, checked with our PR dept and found out that they run the PR127 with report type "R". I then verified that my sample employee did not have a PR11 record, ran the PR299 in PROD and the flag was not there.

I reran in PATCH and it is there. I am now waiting on version info for our PR299.

I just got the version information for our PR299s. They are:

                  PROD - PR299PD 1.1.69.1.6.1.4 <4245352067>
                  PATCH - PR299PD 1.1.69 <3310643018>

I guess I will join you in the GSC quest and open a case.

I'm both sorry and glad to hear that you have the issue. Maybe we'll have power in numbers. My case is # 84174 if you want to refer to that. I'll as

We also only run PR127 with report type of R.

I'll keep you updated with my progress if you could do the same.

Here is the latest from GSC on this...

                        1. Jodi, I have entered Jira 208929 for this. I will let you know when it is resolved.

                        2. So does that mean you were able to recreate and acknowledge the problem? Can we expect a fix shortly? We do have states that have PR299 filing deadlines of the end of January.

                        3. I have entered the Jira due to I am duplicating the indicator not reporting on PR299 when no PR11. I will have them research functionality. At this time I do not know what the fix will be. I have it set to a serious priority and ALL year-end jira's are being worked immediately. I will let you know as soon as I have anything.

                        4. Great - thanks

Hopefully they will not force the use of PR11 requiring each employee have a year specific PR11. It hasn't needed it for the past 5 years, I would hope it isn't needed going forward.

                        More to come.

UPDATE - Lawson has issue a CTP for this issue. As of today, the 9.0.1 version is pending (which is what we need) but the others are available.
