We've been presenting ESS from home with Microsoft's ISA server for a few years.  It was on 8.0.  It was no problem at all routing a public, secured site through to the ess application I built outside of the portal (it's just frames presenting the links) However, we've just upgraded to 9 and it's a problem.  The new ESS site I built is with iframes and works great in the network.  However, when trying to offer it up over the internet, the new Lawson security system throws a wrench in to it. ...

I couldn't find this specific question in any of the forums: Where would I find and change the default advanced search option, from the current 'Find' to 'Filter' I've gone through all of the .htm and .js files in portal\drill\, and was able to rotate where they were on the screen, but the Find stays as the default. I am trying to simply hard-code some parameters on the Next review Report in MSS. It is using the ecl.js and I have made changes to the array selections - however still asking for drop down selection... I am trying to get the Report Criteria to hard-code:  REPORT_CRITERIA_2,CR (which is 'Review' for a Manager) And DEFICIENCY_TYPE_0','CR' (which is 'Expired' for a Manager) Any ideas Sounds easy - but I must be screwing something up.Attaching a screen shot.

Is there anyway for me to capture the SQL code that is executed by a given batch job program, maybe using Net Express or some other COBOL tool  I have a nightly batch program that is taking progressively longer and longer (up to 9 hours) and I would like to see exactly what the job is doing at the database level (SQL-Server 2005). Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I'm trying to modify the content of the instruction table in the availplans.htm file for two specific plan groups.  I can't seem to get the proper to display for only two specific plan groups.  If anyone could point me in the right direction to customize the text in the instruction table I would appreciate it. ty

I made a change to the select drill-around for the Location Code field on AP10.2 by modifying the AP.SR file.  I added the ADDR1 and ADDR2 fields to the select (AP-VLO-S-0014).  This was followed by an srgen for AP as well as an scrgen for AP.  When bringing up the form in LID and then doing a select on the Location Code, the drill-around form shows my new fields as expected.  However, if I do the same thing in Portal, the new fields do not display.  I tried an IOS Cache Refresh, but it did not ...

I have a question that I don't know which category it should go, so I enter here.  We have a board approved project, for example, $100,000.  Under 100,000, there are 4 tasks, each task has $25,000.  When project is on going, under each task, there are autorized sub-task1,2,..etc , let's say,  sub-task1 for $10,000.  So,  the construction department currently maintain an excel spread sheet to log all the records. Nothing to do with Lawson so far, until we need to pay vendor for the sub-task1...

Hello, I need to unlink a specific library and relink a new library to a specific program in 9.0.0.6 LSF9 AIX environment. It's been literally years since I've needed to do this. I have a request to flag expenses entered into EE20 randomly (say increments of 5 or 10) to be identified as an expense to be audited.  The expense would be identified on the EE275 report at the end of the day or week.  Has anyone had a similar request or possibly know of a method to do this  Thanks.

We need to collect email address and cell phone numbers from employees and I don't see any way to do this natively in ESS on V 8.03 apps. I see email is in the Employee table but it looks like a user field will be needed for cell phone. Has anyone deployed a collection method such as this and if so by what method (DS form, custom program, etc.) Also, anyone know if these fields available in V 9.X of HR / ESS Thanks.

The need:  Schedule a reccurring job (recdef) to automatically feed in a required date parameter that is always moving.  Users want the job to run every monday with the previous monday's date in it. Anyone ever fool around with the GEN/JOBSTEP table -specifically the PARAMS column in a script I'm told that 2201001041 somehow is representative of 010410  or maybe 01042010, but I can't seem to get the pattern. Hello, I'm doing some customizations within CASE/4GL COBOL for Lawson, and I'm using some of the Date/Time API's. What are the actual values which I can use as a calendar input for these API's I can't find any documentation on the values, and I don't see the name value of a calendar. We have a BN 834 custom code for BlueCross. This is in ver 8.1. Now we are upgrading our application and environment to 9.0.1. I used KB 127186 pgmdump/pgmload to move the custom BN 834 file to our 'LAWDIR\bnsrc', this did not work. The article also has a warning that it might not work if the source and target productlines are not the same. I also tried metadumppgm/metaloadpgm as per GSC which also did not work. Default report page size is 60 lines per page, That can be changed by using rptgen and that works fine. Have tried to set pagesize in the .cfg file for a certain program so I don't have to remeber doing that when compiling the program. This doesn't work - I still get the 60 line report length as is default.
