I created a new portal page in Design Studio. It was done by simply selecting General > Web Page, resizing the object and then pointing to a custom .html document that I designed, by using the "custom..." button on the right. Then, once saved, the new page is saved as an .xml document.

My intent was to use this custom page in lieu of the LifeEventsSplash.htm that is used by default in Lawson in ESS for the Life Events Bookmark (and secure/lock all it's children bookmarks).

However, now I do not know what syntax to use for the url on the parent Life Events bookmark to point it to my new, custom portal page. (Or, if I need to place either the html or the xml document(s) in a certain location in order for Lawosn to recognize it.)

Has anyone done this before? Please help if you can!

    Thank you.

We don't have Design Studio. But, I thought that Design Studio did not create ESS/MSS web pages (htm/html, javascript).

If you want to create a custom Life Events page, I would make a copy of the existing page and edit that.

ESS/MSS pages are located in $WEBDIR/lawson/xhrnet

LAWPAGE|file=xxxxxx.xml where xxxxxx is what you saved the portal page as.
