I have searched the forum, but as yet have found nothing similiar. My issue is with the behavior of the Eclipse Designer tool on my Win7 pc. When I select Tools/Manage Flows, i can see and select the flows on my server, but the Upload button is missing and the dialog box cannot be stretched or expanded. Has anyone else seen this behavior or know of a fix ?

Hi Carla - I'm on Win7 64-bit, and I don't have these issues.  Maybe you need to uninstall and reinstall???  What version of Designer are you using?   I'm on 9.0.1.8678.

Woozy, Thanks very much for taking the time to reply.  I knew troubleshooting this was not going to be easy because pc configurations can vary. Even among my co-workers, there are 4 of us that have this installed, the person whose desktop configuration is closest to mine is not seeing this behavior....but even with that, I probably have other utilities, patches, higher java versions than he, etc.

To answer your question,  I have uninstalled and re-installed, modified the system variables, etc, with no luck.  At one time I thought not having %LAW81_JAVA_HOME%  defined, but only having %LAW_JAVA_HOME% was the problem, then I realized that my .bat files have lines that set the  variables when executed.

I've compared my Configuration Details file and the Plug-in Details file with my co-worker....they are the same.

One question I would like to know is how you got the detail of your version number.   ....all I see specified for my version of Designer is  9.0.1 .

Carla, it looks like you are running an "Aero" theme on Windows 7, whereas Woozy is not...you might want to change that, and see if that has any effect...
Also, are you on Windows 7 32-bit or 64-bit?

John.....I knew this would be looking for a needle in haystack....and YOU FOUND IT , YOU FOUND IT, YOU FOUND IT !!!!!.....YEAAAAAH !

While simply turning off Aero did not totally do the job, it set me on the path of trying some other themes, and reviewing the Visual Effects settings in Advance System Properties.   I tried a few different things, and had to put the settings all the way down to "Classic Basic"......and when I called the Manage Flows dialog box, I could finally see the Download buttons...and use them !    In any case, I will do some more investigation and comparison with my co-workers and testing different visual settings, to ensure that I don't have to be that "drastic" with my visual environment just to work in Designer.

And yes, my machine is 64-bit, and my graphics adapter is a NVIDIA Quadro NVS 295.

            Thank you so much !!!!!

You can probably fix this just for the designer. Right-clicking the icon, and try changing the properties for the application itself on the 'Compatibility' tab...e.g. 'Disable Visual Themes'.
