Do you know of a keyboard shortcut (or any other ‘trick&rsquo to ‘force’ the Eclipse Designer to Paste a component (Assign, Branch, etc.) to the selected position on a flow?

We have a flow that has grown quite a bit and when we copy and paste a component the Designer puts it on a ‘random’ position (usually at the top of the flow). Wondering if there is a way to force the Designer to do the Paste on the position where the mouse is on the flow.

Thanks for all your help. Have a great day.

      Hi Jose Gonzo,

I agree that this is one of the annoyances of the Eclipse designer.  I don't have a "magic" solution of any kind (hopefully somebody else does), but when I am in this situation, I will zoom the view out far enough that I can see the whole flow, then paste.  Then it is a little easier to grab the pasted nodes and drag them where they need to go.  It's still a pain-in-the-petootie, but it helps a little bit.

It also helps if you can leave some blank space in the top left of your flow as a "paste zone" so you can lasso your pasted nodes without grabbing other stuff.

Sorry I can't provide something more powerful.

Thank you Kelly. I'll try leaving some blank space in the top left.
Have you had an issue when the Designer crashes while making edits to a 'big flow'. We reported this to Lawson and apparently is a well known issue (JT-287782) without a fix yet. Wondering if anybody had a workaround.
Thanks for all your help. Have a great day.

I haven't had any issues with the designer crashing, but I almost exclusively use the Landmark designer, which looks the same but is not the same product - even though it looks the same.
