I created a File Channel for a file system on a Windows VM. I have tried both the Local and Remote File Channel Types but neither seems to recognize my files. Has anyone set a File Channel up for a Windows VM before?
Your setup looks correct. Is Landmark running as a domain user that has been granted access rights to the \\kerry\Separation share? We had to change the Landmark setup so that it ran as a domain user instead of as a local machine user so that we could reach across the network.
Figured out what I was doing wrong. I can access the VM machine as remote, but I had the wrong user. I validated this by opening up a cmd window from the IPA server and tried logging in as the other user, the other user did not have a home directory on the VM machine. The user I am now logging in as was setup a while ago by our windows administrator as a FTP user. The second thing I was doing wrong was I had the wrong directory path. The path I was originally given was just an alias. I was also able to validate the path using the same cmd window, ftp'd in as the new user.
Eric,
It required a change in Lawson Security. See the attached.
