Is there a way to prevent specific users from connecting to the server using Pflow Designer, but still allow them access to Pflow Administration?

We have a number of users who need to have access to Pflow Administration to trigger and monitor flows.  However a couple of them have "found" the Pflow Designer on MyLawson and installed it, and are downloading and running flows locally rather than triggering them from the server.  This probably isn't a big deal except that it means they can probably also upload and delete flows from the server within designer.

Among other things, I'm concerned that they will change a flow (or, as they would say, "fix" the flow) and upload it to PROD...which is a big no-no in our company.

Any ideas on how to control this?  Thanks!

I have created Design Studio forms to allow my users to access certain ProcessFlow functional forms. You can also give them access to WFWK.1 to trigger the ProcessFlow Service. If the flow isn't based upon a Service, just create one that will trigger it.

Thanks David - I have created ds forms against WFWK.3 that call the flows directly (rather than via a service), but I found that the users still have to be Pflow Admins in order to trigger the flow using the ds form.  Will using a service eliminate that requirement?

Yes - I have many, many flows that get triggered by a DS forms against WFWK.1 - and its provided as a link to general users to initiate the flow. Have you actually taken away the admin access from those users and it does not work?
