    Hello,

In Infor Process Automation (IPA) > Process Definitions, what is the difference between the types: User, System, and Application?

    Thank you.

There isn't any physical difference. All three reside in the same business classes. This is just a flag that is used for filtering on different forms that overlay that business class.

Typically System and Application are used for delivered flows and User is used for custom (or customized) flows. It has no impact on how they work, where they run, or even security (unless you configured it for that purpose).

I believe that uploading a new flow via Designer will automatically put the flow in the User category, but uploading a change to an existing Application flow will leave it in Application.

The flag can be changed in the ProcessDefinition form.
