Some emails that we generate in ProcessFlow require action from an end user. Unfortunately those emails are sent to an inbox along with dozens of other notifications messages. We need a way to set the emails requiring action apart from the others. Our first thought was to set the importance of the message to high (like you can do within Outlook). Has anyone discovered a method to set the importance of an email created by the email node?

To my knowledge the email capability is somewhat limited, however you could use HTML and set the subject to BOLD RED or something like that to call attention to it.
If that doesn't work, and response is critical, you could consider using the UserAction node which could stop the flow from processing until a response is made, and you could use the First and Second reminder notifications to rag the person/people.

        Eric,

I haven't dealt with the importance of the message feature, but for emails that require action and to separate them out from the others, you could put something like "***ACTION***" in the beginning of the subject line and then have that as your first line in the body of the message (e.g. ***ACTION***ACTION***ACTION***).

You can also set tags in the subject and depending on your email server, have it run processing rules.
Thanks for using the LawsonGuru.com forums!

Eric - ask your email administrator if they can do something with emails that come from your ProcessFlow account, like default the High importance flag. I'm not sure it's possible but it can't hurt to ask.

I think you have all answered this but I have an additional thought to consider....

If you just include ** ACTION REQUIRED ** in the subject or html message with red text you will not be relying on settings in your exchange server. (my experence: your exchange server will get a patch and the importance logic will be removed and you will not be aware of the changed behavior...)

              Just my 2 cents....

Thanks for all the responses! We did keep it simple and added a flag to the subject line that lets the user know when they need to take action.

                Thanks again,
                Eric
