    Hello everyone!

I just discovered something out of sheer curiosity which some of you may already know, but I'm betting many do not.  I wanted to share.  If you are on/using/implementing LTM and ProcessFlow/Process Automation (PFPA), this will make more sense.

We are implementing Lawson HR - HRM & LTM together (not all the applications, but some now and some later).  This has given me a great, mostly fun, sometimes frustrating challenge of locating data I see in a Rich Client/Smart Office form in the business classes.

While working to sort out looking at TurnoverData data, I found that I had to modify my list definition to see the FTE values.  When I went to query the same data in  Lawson Process Designer (LPD), I didn't see the NewFTE and OldFTE fields listed in the non-key field list.  Because I was able to add the FTE field in the list definition view, I figured I'd just try to add the field in the same format (WorkAssignmentRel.FTE)manually to my query call.  IT WORKED.

So, if you come across working with PFPA in LTM, and you can modify your list definition on a form to see other values not there by default, keep that in mind when working with queries in your flow.  You may just be able to still get access to a field's data, even though the field itself is not listed by default in the non-key field list of the business class.

    Enjoy!

Thanks for the great tip. We are also in the process of implementing HRM and LTM together. Until now, we have found NO other customer to exchange stories of success/failure with. I would be interested in sharing contact information so that we might collaborate on similar challenges. Our organization is going live this fall and we are now working on Prototype 3 (final prototype) setup and testing. We are trying to use LTM as the employee "source of truth" and sending new employee information from LTM to S3. Again, thanks for the great tip.
      Regards,
      Shane

          Niki and Shane,

We are implementing LTM and I have been tasked to customize existing LPDs. I am brand new to Lawson in general. Is there any detail documentation on LPD and also the data structure? The help menu, in LPD, is not the greatest resource. I have tried recreating, for example ChangeRelToOrg.lpd, and found that I cannot find the "FindMergedChangeRelationshipToOrganization" action dropdown list in the build. Any help that you could provide would be greatly appreciated!!!!

          Thanks,
          Chris
