We are setting up a new server and I'm wondering if there will be a problem with the work units (WF tables) when we port the data from our current/live PROD (the 'old server'), to the new server.
The LOGAN area will NOT be ported over so the WF Tables and work units will be in a different state on the new server than they were on the old server. Specifically the 'next work unit' will be in the 5xx range on the new server where the current 'old' server is in the 8xxx range.
We need to test the new server out and that would include launching some RSS requisitions among other PFlows. The 'next work unit' will not match the 'next work unit' from the old server, nor will there be any history from all the closed work units and requisitions.
The thing is, I think I don't care about that, but I wonder if I'm missing anything. If the 'next work unit' is launched on the new server and the WU number is much lower than the last one used on the old server....do I care?
Thoughts anyone?
Thanks!!!

Technically, it doesn't matter.
But to keep it clean for any audit/ tracking or administrative purposes, you can specify a number where you want the WU numbering to sontinue from.
- Log into bpm/menu.do
- Click Configuration Property form
- System name= WFCONFIG, fld name = LST_WKUNIT_NBR, field value = n
Where n is the number where you want the numbering to start at.
Hope this helps!
Cheers,
KK
