Does anyone have any insight about going from environment 9.0.1.9 to 10.x?

We are preparing to upgrade from environment 9.0.1.9 to 10.x but have to switch from LAUA to Lawson security first.
We are currently attempting to implement Lawson Security under 9.0.1.9 but have encountered issues with setting up rules in Lawson Security. We have been told that we need to upgrade to 9.0.1.12 to fix these errors. Going to 9.0.1.12 would be a major project for us which we had not budgeted time or money for.

Response so far from Lawson regarding error in security when using
user.isInChainOfCmdOfEmpInHR   function in a security rule.

...(Infor support) didn't think that you could go from your current version(9.0.1.9)  to a 10.0 env and that you would need to upgrade (to 9.0.1.12) prior to going to 10.0 anyway.

      David-
We made the jump from LSF 9.0.1.9 to ESP11 with not too much trouble. I would expect going to ESP12 would not be that much more, plus, from what I have seen so far about going to Infor10, jumping to Infor10.x will be a much, much, much larger endeavor than going from 9.0.1.9 to 9.0.1.12. In addition to Lawson Security, you will need to also jump your applications to v10, change process flow, add landmark, etc. . Jumping to Lawson Security from LAUA is a good step to take in preparation for the jump to 10, but that is just the tip of the iceberg.

One note, from all that I have seen written and heard verbally from Infor/Lawson, 9.0.1.9 IS the minimum to make the jump to v10, so from that perspective, I think you are ok, however, I would highly recommend rethinking this approach. From what I have seen, going to ESP12 would be the lessor of two evils in this instance....... -Frank

Frank-Thanks for the input. We are committed to going to 10 and are aware of all of the other issues (process flow, landmark, etc) you mention. Our implementation/support contract with our support vendor gives up 2 major upgrades and they would consider to move to 9.0.1.12 as one of our upgrades.
However, we are also encountering issues with going to Lawson Security under 9.0.1.9 and Infor is telling us we have to go to 9.0.1.12 to resolve those issues, so we may be forced down that path anyway.

Our plan was to implement Lawson Security in development and when it is configured to slowly roll it out to our production users on 9.0.1.9 prior to going to 10 where we have to use Lawson Security. We don't want to just jump into 10 and find problems with our security setup.

What are some of the issues you have that would require 9.0.1.12? We are currently implementing Lawson Security on 9.0.1.9 and have not run into any yet, but are about to begin our main testing phase.

            David,
Did Lawson indicate if there was a skip upgrade path from your version to 10x? They have done those on many of the big upgrades in the past.
