We have been on Lawson S3 for a little over 3 yrs.  During our initial install our DBA configured the Oracle database as a RAC instance, but our Lawson installer only configured the application server to point to a single instance in the Oracle cluster.

We now have a new DBA and he wants to get Lawson to take advantages of the Oracle cluster.  We have been playing with it in our Test environment and appear to have it working, but the only thing we modified to make it work was the tnsnames.ora file and the Oracle driver files (cap ORACLE files).  Our DBA says he remembers asking the question in a class he had several yrs ago and thought there was a Lawson config file that needed to be modified, but he can't remember which file.  The only thing I can think it might have been was the cap ORACLE file.

Has anyone else worked through the process of getting Lawson to work with a RAC database, and if so can you tell us if we're missing anything?  We're just looking for some confirmation before moving this solution into our Prod environment.  After reading a couple other posts here I will add that our application server and database server are on separate AIX hosts.

    Thanks in advance.

If you haven't already, you will want to fully test and then review the Oracle listener log file to determine what connectivity has occurred, particularly SID's and SERVICE_NAME's. That should help you determine if anything is connecting that you haven't accounted for.
