Does anyone have any type of documentation as it relates to the performance tuning of DB2 on an AIX system.  We seem to be running very slow on data related actviites in both portal and LID ..... Anything is appreciated.

We had horrible performance upon our go-live. Took us 3 weeks to get it rectified. Here's just one of the places we were referred to: http://www.ibm.com/develo.../library/t-tds-perf/ and then:
      http://www.ibm.com/develo...t-tds-perf/#Analysis scripts

Making some adjustments to our DS config file helped as well. I'll see if I can't dig out what Lawson sent us.

Make a backup copy of you ibmslapd.conf file.  Make the highlighted in yellow changes to your ibmslapd.conf file and restart db2.

Thanks ... any other information would be great ...... One more fact is that we have an application server and a seperate DB server .... Not sure if that makes a difference ...

Chris12: Yes, ours was tivoli... but the perf_tools scripts are for db2. Lawson had us especially look for long running queries on non-indexed values and correct those.

                  Let's try that document again.
