Two times in the past week or so, I've seen connection failure messages in ladb and latm log files.  As a result of this, within LID, I cannot access the job scheduler or run a command like count gen user.  It's intermittent.  Today, I finally had to reboot because the connection failure messages were so numerous, and I didn't want to delay our users any more.  The users were starting to notice as well.

We're on LSF 901 ESP 5, 900 MSP 4 applications on a Windows Server 2003 R2 box.  The app and db servers are separate.  Lawson recommended the following 2 articles

I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this same issue.  If you did, what did you do to fix it?

Other customers with repeated Connection failure messages from SQL Server have used these Microsoft KB articles:
One possible cause is a problem with a newer feature of the SNP that comes with Windows 2003 SP2. The issues that arise from not having updated drivers along with the TCP Chimney feature are documented here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/942861
Microsoft often recommend rolling back the entire SNP if we see random connectivity issues: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/948496 You may also consider contacting Microsoft support to see if they have any ideas about how to troubleshoot these types of errors.

I ran across this problem. We were also having trouble using a UNC path that went deep into the directory structure from other servers. I don't remember the exactly the solution, but I think we ended up disabling the TCP Chimney on the NICs.

Thanks for the reply.  We have disabled that setting, and this problem has occurred again for the last 3 business days in a row around the same time.

We are having this same exact problem...we have all of the TCP setting turned off, but still get this sporatic connection drop from the database. We are running lawson version 9.0.1.8 MSP 6. The dropped connection happens at busy times and at slow times..we do not know what else to look for...any further help on this post would be greatly appreciated!!!
