ladb network errors

    Receive the following errors in ladb.log regularly.  Cannot determine the cause.  Event log on app server and db server show no hardware errors.

    Lawson ENV/IOS 803 SP7, DB server SQL Server 2000 SP4 on VMWARE.

      Is your database on a different server? If so, is same version of MDAC on each server? Do you have the client configured on the app server to connect via TCP and not named pipes?

        Yes, the database is on  separate server -- a virtualized server (VMWARE)

        Yes, the MDAC version is the same on both servers -- 2.82.3959.

        Yes, the application server has the client configured to use TCP/IP.
