To all,
I just completed a fresh install of the LSF9 core technology on a test server. As best I can determine, there were no errors generated. ADAM is set up correctly, I can browse the LDAP repository with a freeware LDAP browser. I've also installed and configured IBM WebSphere and HTTP server in accordance with the Lawson Core Technology Installation Guide, though I don't believe that has a bearing on this particular problem.
My problem is with LAUA under LID. For some reason, when I bring up LAUA, it only brings back one user, the 'lawson' user on my company domain. This user is the administrator account for all of my Lawson environments but there are an additional 3,000 users that should be in my list of users.
I've verified that I have specified the correct user group under the group of users on the server who should be able to log on locally. The name of the user group is 'Lawson-Grp'. I've also verified that this user group is specified as the user group to use under the 'Security' tab on laconfig. Lastly, I checked the %LAWDIR%\system\univ.cfg file and set the mLAUAUSERS parameter to 8000 (which I think is irrelevant on a Windows box anyway).
What else can I look at? I believe I hit all the bases but obviously I either forgot something or have something set incorrectly. Does LAUA under LSF9 rely on the LASE engine to retrieve users?
Lawson GSC won't help because I am not a certified installer, but I am undergoing certification training and performing a LSF9 core install is part of those certification requirements.
My server is a WIndows 2003 box (Enterprise Edition), running SQL-Server 2005 (SP2), and Java 1.5 (release 11), Net Express 5, and MKS Toolkit 8.6.
I could really use some help. Thanks in advance.
~ John
No, I did not migrate any data from my existing environments. This is a brand new environment and I thought that LAUA would just go to the specified domain group and bring in all the users. After the install, I did verify that the GEN and LOGAN databases were populated with the necessary tables and that my LDAP repository was updated with the new entries required by LSA.
Perhaps I don't understand security under LSA enough but I thought it would continue to work the way it does under 8.x of the environment, that is until I implement LSA.
Are you saying that LSA has to be up and running and my existing user base migrated from another environment before I can see any of them under LAUA?
