On LSF 9005, application 9006, NetExpress 4.0. Some patches for the application fail because of new *.scr commands like KEYSELECT and DTLFORM0. To avoid this, Lawson GSC recommends migrating to at least LSF9006. Since the latest service pack is LSF 9009, that would be the logical move. However, since we use NetExpress 4.0 and the addendum installation guide for LSF9009 states 'All Lawson customer who want to upgrade their COBOL compiler when installing can upgrade to version 5.0', does this really mean that version 4.0 is still usable? About to ask the GSC.

The install guide for LSF 9.0.0.9 states that NetExpress 5.0 or 5.1 is required. I wouldn't chance using a non-supported version of NetExpress with the new environment. If Lawson determines you are using version 4.x of NetExpress with LSF 9.0.0.9, they may give you a hassle when it comes time for support.

If your GSC person comes back and tells you that they will support version 4.x with LSF 9.0.0.9, make sure you send a copy of that to your Lawson account rep because I'm willing to bet it will catch up to you later when you need support.

I would just upgrade to NetExpress 5. It's a short install and that would avoid all the confusions. If anything goes wrong within lawson, GSC would be on hook without excuses.
