We are currently running the following Print Command in prtdef for a Lawson-defined printer:
    prtip ps1.mfldclin.org f1b p00512 nb

Our ps1 print server is Windows 2003
The new ps3 print server that we are moving to is Windows 2008 R2.

Simply changing ps1 to ps3 does not work, but it doesn't generate an error - I still receive the pop-up in Lawson indicating that the job printed. The sys admin is not seeing the job make it to the print server, so I'm guessing this is a problem on the Lawson side, but not sure where to start...

Has anyone else encountered issues moving to Windows 2008 R2 print servers?

Note: the "prtip" at the beginning is a script that handles escape codes at the end of the command "p00512 nb"

Can you get a ping from the printer you are trying to print to?

Can you ping the ps3 server?

Can the print server print a test page on the printer you are trying to print to successfully?

Add the printer in your lawson server and see if you can print a test page.

If all of the above checked out ok, then it's your lawson definition causing problem.
