    Hi
I have WAS logs in WebSphere which are filling up regularly with a set of messages. The logs are at /usr/IBM/Websphere7_64/AppServer/profiles/profilename/IDSLogs/logs with file names in the format TDS_7_5_2012.log, one log per day

The messages are a block which are getting repeated, presumably the same action is causing the message

The volume of these does cause a problem so I have two options...

Switch off the logging, or resolve the issue causing the messages.
Does anyone have any idea how to do either of these?

    Thanks

Have you tried a search on Lawson's KB?
I found AR_558519 which may offer some assistance.

        Thanks for the recommendation.

I don't have the same symptoms as in the KB. My /servlet/What and /Profile work fine. The messages I get are in the WAS log and I don't know what WAS is trying to do when it causes the messages to be written.

        I will continue the search...

          Hi Rciahrd,
Did you research ever come up with a solution to these messages? I'm seeing a lot of these on my LBI server so I'm just as curious as you are.
          Thanks!

            Hi Duane

I haven't managed to get to the bottom of these messages. In fact they stopped being generated last month. Everyone denies doing anything to stop them, but they have stopped all the same. I'm not particularly keen on having things happen on my systems for no reason - either messages appearing, or messages suddenly not appearing...so the search will carry on...but I have only 9 more working days in this job before going to pastures new (with no Lawson) so the search may be a short one

            Thanks

            Richard
