We are LSF 9.0.0.6, 8.1 apps, and LBI 9.0.2.2.  We use laua and haven't gone to Lawson Security 9 although we do utilize Lawson Security Administrator (LSA) since RD30 is gone and some Portal support moved to LSA.  We are interested in writing Crystal Reports that marry security data from LDAP, laua/GEN, and LBI databases.  That's two db2 databases and one SQL database.  In the past we've been led to believe that querying LDAP and GEN are undesirable and that it's safer to dump this data somewhere and query from those dumped datasources.  Has anyone done something similar, whether hitting these tables direclty in their original locations or have you dumped all three databases into a datamart of sorts and queried that datamart?  Why did you choose to query directly from the databases or a datamart?

          Susan,

Moffitt is one of the customers that Selva mentioned in her post that is using the Avaap solution. We found trying to use standard LS reports would not meet the needs of our users and left us scrambling at our IT audit. The reports and product offered by Avaap has met our reporting needs in the area of security and they are adding to the offering as they work with more clients and see the needs across organizations the others reap the benefits.

If you have any specific questions on how it works, time to implement, etc, please reach out to me.
