Usually publishing back office reports allows users to download only in pdf.

Has anybody found a way to download backoffice reports in excel format?

We have a number of RW100 backoffice reports that are published that can be downloaded in pdf format.I am investigating ways of downloading in excel.

    Tia.

      Hi Ruma,

Were you ever able to figure this out? We want to publish out backoffice reports as excel drillable files in LBI. Is that even possible?

      Thanks,
      KJ

If you use your back office reports as a data source for crystal and then publish the report as a crystal report, You will be able to download into excel.

If you are directly publishing back office reports to LBI, the only option is pdf.

This is also one fo the main reasons why we chose dashboard gear and are implementing it. The hospital or clinical side requires business and clinical data to be integrated and if they had results on a pdf they were unable to extract the data, manipulate it and use clinical data to combine both.

They needed the data in excel format so it could help them in transforming the data according to the needs which had patient side mixed with business type data.

I know this would take extra effort and not elegant - could you set up the report to generate the csv when it runs and then have a related link to the report that points to that csv? It doesn't give you the historical instances unless you managed that in a different way, but at least you could have the csv for the report run...
