We are in the process of implementing Lawson RQ and PO - standard, not RSS. However, RQ10 is really not user friendly enough to roll out to our users.
We are considering using Design Studio to remove most of the current RQ10 fields and end up with a single entry form that has a few header fields and then the line fields.
Have any of you faced the same issue? If so, could you please write back about
1) Whether Design Studio worked with with the tabs (combining fields from different tabs to a single tabless form)
2) Any Design Studio issues we should try to avoid
3) Whether implementing RSS would be a better technical solution than Design Studio (since the presentation is more acceptable to us)
Thanks
I did the same thing with HR11 - Employee, it has 15 tabs.
You delete the tabs and then add new textbox and label fields, for all the fields you want to include. Assign the textbox source to the field you want and it will take on all the charastics of the original. I used color on some of the fields to help break up the new screen into logical pieces. You can stretch the lenght of your image but that caused the fields to no longer be where the looked like they would be in DS.
All the logic works the same because it passes the data to the original program, RQ10 in your case.
