I understand there is only one Logan DB on the server we use, but we have 3 product lines on that server. We get workunits in our inbaskets from all product lines when we are logged on to one product line. I know we specify the product line in the .xml, but is there a way to specify the product line on each field we are populating to the Portal Page. How can we ensure we only get the workunits from the designated product line? Thank you for any light you can shed on this issue.

When you enable a Service in Lawson you can limit it by Data Area (Product Line). Starting with the Service Definition you can specify the Product (ERP) and the Data Area that you want the Service enabled for. You have to follow this down through the Service Criteria Level Definition and the Service Process Definition as well.
If you go this route you will need to disable the current Service set up and add new ones for the product lines you want to enable.

Thank you David, but I don't understand the Service Definition; is this a definition of Design Studio per product line? Our Tech Support folks define the areas we use; do they have the option to set up 3 Data Areas (product lines) on one server under one Logan database? Thanks.

I read your original posting more carefully and realize I missed your meaning. You mean when you're signed into TEST that you only see the WorkUnits for TEST in your Inbasket? I don't think you can do that at all.
Sorry for misunderstanding your original posting.

Thank you David, we were afraid that might be the case. We can't seem to find the first inbasket Portal Page form/design studio we see in Lawson, with the headings: Workunit, Description, Work Category. Is there one available to us? or is that a secured Lawson Portal Page/form? And program too???
I'm surprised other groups haven't wanted to separate out product lines in Development; they must put each product line on a separate server with their own Logan, or a partitioned server, if there is such a thing. I appreciate the help.

You could customize the inbasket function to do it. You could even add an additional column in the inbasket display to display the Productline. Be good with Javascript and html of course.
I've never seen a productline with it's own Logan, unless you just have one single productline in the environment.
You have one logan for multiple productlines, on a single environment.

Also try looking at the inbasket.js which holds the inbasket functionality. It's located within the /lawson/portal folder on your webdir.
